Hello pals. Artful here. For those who don't know somehow, in the last entry I outlined that I felt like I was putting too much pressure on getting comic work done. I also said I'd come back when I had a bit of a clue what I would do next. Well, here I am. Here's my decision:
Wanderers will be wrapped up and put aside so I can focus more fully on my Nuzlocke.
Now, the problem with this decision is that I'm personally torn between two ways to do this:
-Work towards giving Wanderers a satisfying conclusion;
-Drop the ball right here and then.
The reason this decision is problematic is that concluding the events of Wanderers is going to take a lot of time, perhaps more than 4 additional years (at least with my current estimates), but I really don't want to end things as they are. I'd at the very least want all the plot threads to be tied up neatly. Thing is, I'm not sure I can pull that off...
In the middle of writing this article, I got the idea of offering a written summary of the plot I had intended to have for the rest of the series. It could provide the wanted closure, while still being manageable. Although it wouldn't be as satisfying as having the actual updates, and seeing the characters interact...
I'm still not sure on what I'll do yet, but I wanted to let you know about this idea. Feel free to let me know what you think I should do, and why. I'll make more updates as the situation progresses.
Later,

Speaking What Was Left Unsaid
Hey everyone. Artful here. It's been a hot minute since I posted here. I don't think this is going to be a very long update, but the main reason I'm posting today is to finally put to words something that my long absence has most likely confirmed for many of y'all: Budkin's Leaf Green Nuzlocke isn't going to be returning. Basically, at all. I think it needed to be said because there's been a part of me throughout the better part of the last... 5-ish years? that's been wanting to return to the comic someday. Trying to think of a way to continue from where I left it off, or just starting from scratch. And although it pains me deeply to admit it, the scale of the project was never going to be realizable. Not when I had so many other projects I wanted to see to completion. Not when I had school to juggle on top of it all. And especially not now that I have Actual Adult Responsibilities to contend with. I've spent the better part of the past few years trying to contend with my
What if it wasn't a Nuzlocke?
Hey everyone! This is Artful. Sorry for taking over 6 months to get back to you all.
Anyway, I've been spending a fair amount of time pondering how to make the reboot of my Nuzlocke comic. I knew I wanted to have a clear plan of the story before writing down any specifics, so I had tasked myself to finish my Nuzlocke run so I would know what main events would occur in my story. Months later, I have not made that much meaningful progress in my run. And that's when I realized something important.
I didn't want to continue Nuzlocking Leaf Green.
It may just be my personal preference, but something about Pokémon LG/FR just... irks me so m
A Reboot for Budkin's Nuzlocke?
Hey everyone, this is Artful. And I've been spending these past few months pondering the future of this comic. You see, I've had tons of troubles with finishing my story. The biggest issue with it all is fairly simple to identify:
I have been coming up with the story as I went along.
This was the same reason that Wanderers of the Mushroom Kingdom fell to cancellation. I did not have a strong plan from the start, and I would let whims direct the course of the story. While it may seem like fun and not restrictive, the MAJOR pitfall of writing stories this way is that there is no clear direction to what is being done. At best, I had a vague id
Musings on the Nuzlocke Comic...
Hey everyone! It's ArtfulRoomsOfDeath here. I know I don't really make many journals anymore, and I'm sorry for that. But here we go, here's an update on where things are with my comic.
I have to admit, I've been finding myself dissatisfied with my performance as of late. The main points are that I haven't been as productive with my comic this summer as I had hoped, and that the comic itself isn't progressing fast enough at its current update rate.
The first point is fairly easy to go over: I had started the summer break with a strong intent to make enough pages to sustain a monthly update schedule for a full year. Needless to say, this did

I'm glad you've come up with this idea. ^^ I hope this takes a lot off your mind. Obviously, I can't decide this for you as they are your comics, but you did ask for us to tell you what we think so I hope this helps.
I think you should make the written summary. It's less work, right? Well it will tell everyone what was going to happen so any mystery involving wanderers will be put to rest and everyone is put as ease; and as you said would feel more satisfactory then just dropping it at where it is. Not to mention, since it would be faster to do, that's even faster that the weight comes off your shoulders. If you want to continue the nuzlocke, do it! But don't push yourself. It's not easy making a series. It's serious work and you should be proud you made it this far. :3
also I apologize if this comment makes no sense and the spelling is off. I've really been struggling with that today. anyways, back to stalking. *fades into the mist*
